Wendel’s Specialty Breads is a family-owned business providing all natural breads.
Our founder, Wendel, had a background in food production and developed the recipes for his family in his home kitchen. The goal was to create healthful breads using no fat, eggs, or dairy. Additionally, the only sweeteners used were honey and molasses.
As a result of feedback from his loyal customer base, his passion soon expanded beyond the kitchen to local farmer’s markets and eventually into local and regional grocery stores.
The Family Business
As a company, Wendel’s Specialty Breads was founded in 2010 after contracting with commercial bakeries to produce the bread to Wendel’s exact specifications.
The first loaves of bread were introduced at retail stores in 2011 and the feedback from consumers was amazing!
As our passionate consumer-base grows, we are continuing to explore opportunities to expand into new markets.
